So I keep browsing these mixed media blogs and seeing all the beautiful things created with Dylusion Ink Sprays, so I headed to my local craft store to pick some up, and decided the cost was just to high for me to get a nice range of colors, so back to the interwebs I went to find out how to make some myself......And after hours of browsing, and a few tries with acrylic paints (which are nice, but don't move like the ink sprays) I had a little light bulb go off over my head, you see I recently became mildly obsessed with fountain pens, and I found this super nifty site called
Goulet Pen Company that will sell you ink samples for 1.50-2.50 a tiny bottle. Well I happened to have quite a large stash of said samples languishing in my pen drawer, so out they came! I mixed a sample vial with enough water to fill up one of the
Ranger Inkssentials Mini Misters and gave them a test shot.
Here are the results on a
Stillman & Birn Delta Series Sketchbook They moved with water, and dried with similar watermark effects to watercolor paint. I can't speak for how each of the different inks work, but for my tests I used :
